The soft kernel is the source of marula magic. Eaten raw or roasted, they add a piquant flavour to food dishes. The kernels are rich in oil and protein (28%). A tin of kernels is considered a gift of friendship.
Kernels are pressed to create marula oil, a naturally processed, high-stability lipid, high in oleic acid.
